This program introduces in-depth composition of corporate correspondences. As a means of communication, correspondences play a big role in being able to effectively voice out concepts, ideas, beliefs and messages.
EN CCO 500 Corporate Correspondence
Effective communication in any business is very essential, especially when one deals with clients internally and externally. Through Corporate Correspondence course, differentiation of correct letters and emails can be used and sorted appropriately.
This program provides a composition workshop where students would be able to properly create and write letters, memorandums, circulars, and emails.
Upon completion of this program, one is expected to grasp a wide array of vocabulary, grammar and writing skill.
Program:
Corporate Correspondence develops the students’ skill in writing, composition, grammar and vocabulary. The primary goal of this program is to master proper ways to write different correspondences.
- Internal Correspondence, refers to the correspondence between the individuals, departments, or branches of the same organization.
- External Correspondence, refers to the correspondence between two individuals. These are not of the same organization. Any correspondence outside the organization is external correspondence. Customer and suppliers, banks, educational institutions, government departments come under this category.
- Routine Correspondence, refers to the correspondence on routine manners. A correspondence made for inquiries, orders, replies, acknowledgments, invitation, and appointment letters are routine correspondence.
- Sales Correspondence, refers to the correspondence related to the sale. Sales letters, sales reports, invoice, and confirmation of orders are sale correspondence. Delivery letters, statement of accounts etc. are also some of its examples.
- Personalized Correspondence, and refers to the correspondence based on emotional factors. Letters of the request, recommendation, and congratulations are personalized correspondence. Letter of introduction, granting and the refusal of terms are some of its examples.
- Circulars, refers to the communication of common matter to a large number of persons or firms. Circulars, notices of tenders, change of address, an opening of the new branch come under this category. An introduction of new products is also its example.

Admission:
Complete the appropriate admissions application together with the payment of the application fee.
Submit a satisfactory official TOEFL or IELTS score report if English is not your first language.
Students take a placement test to determine their level in English before they enroll in any classes. Three sections of the test covers: Reading Skills, Language Usage and Sentence Meaning.
Required level:
Requires an ESL Placement Test recommendation for ESL Level 2.
Duration:
18 hours per week (minimum) / 3 hours per day class.
This program offers 1-Week, 4-Weeks, 3-Months, 6-Months and 1-Year.
By advice and recommendation of the ESL faculty, students may also be allowed to enroll in another English class related to their academic goals.
Qualifications:
Corporate Correspondence program is for students seeking to improve their skills in writing business letters, emails and memos. A minimum of B1 / Level 2 or Above Average English level is required for this program.
