Guide to the Program

The Cyber Security program is designed to give students detailed expertise of today’s security concerns and countermeasures. As e-commerce, global trade, and digital communication channels continue to expand, the risks of cyber theft and attacks also increase. Our students will possess the knowledge and skills necessary to positively contribute to the world’s societies and economies. Such requisite personal and professional knowledge and competencies include but is not limited to multidisciplinary knowledge, theoretical and applied skills, critical-thinking skills and high ethical standards.

In addition to developing foundational knowledge, students will explore pressing ethical issues in today’s cybersecurity world. Students will learn how to use guiding ethical principles to not make decisions and create comprehensive risk reduction strategies aligning with business objectives. Students will learn the body of technologies, processes, and practices designed to protect networks, computers, and data from attack, damage, and unauthorized access. Students will be able to spot vulnerabilities within a system, identify attacks and immediately respond to emergencies.
